Place Value puzzles for 2 and 3 digits

Place Value practise is made easy with this hands on, puzzle based activity. Students use number knowledge to complete the part-part-whole bar puzzles and then record their number as a partition and in expanded notation form. Numbers are 2 and 3 digit.

This resource contains:

• Forty 2 digit number 'bar' puzzles
• Forty eight 3 digit number 'bar' puzzles (to 555)
• Two 2 digit activity pages
• Two 3 digit activity pages

Laminate activity pages to re-use or put into plastic sleeves. Laminate page of puzzles and then cut into pieces along solid lines. Store in small containers. Can break up into two sets to keep 2 and 3 digits apart.

How can I use this resource:

• Complete puzzles and then fill in the activity page
• Use puzzles by themselves
• Roll two or three 10 sided dice to get a number, then complete the activity pages

This resource is recommended for Years 2 and 3, but can be used with higher grades as it is an excellent revision activity. Prints on A4 paper. Please select ‘fit to page’ from your printer settings.
