Decodable word cards: sh ch th

Practice phonic and decoding skills with these fun hands on cards.  Students apply knowledge of the /sh/, /th/ and /ch/ phonemes to these 56 task cards by adding the correct sound to the card.  Each card contains a partial word that is mapped (marked with phonemes) and students add the missing digraph.

Words are CVC, CCVC, CVCC, CCVCC, CCVVCC and contain initial code and some extended code.  I have tried to keep the decoding to basic two letter initial blends and common digraphs. Phonemes that may be unfamiliar at this level include /or/, /ee/, /ou/, /ar/, /ear/, /mb/ and /ir/ which are all used once or twice within the set. Picture clues may assist students who require help.
