Info-graphics are a fun way to combine Maths knowledge of data collection with Digital Technologies.  This resource is designed to allow students to collect data about themselves and display the information in an easy to view format. The three activities are set up to provide continuity and ease of lessons which means  less instruction time and more hands on learning!

What this resource includes:

  • Poster with details on what an info-graphic is and how they are set out
  • 3 themed activity sets
  • holiday - 3 pages
  • weekend - 4 pages
  • family - 3 pages

Each lesson/activity set has a task sheet (that includes a learning intention and table of information), a template to put pieces on and a reflection sheet to assess the data collected.  I recommend using coloured paper strips for the holiday and weekend activity which students can cut into squares (please see preview for an example). The family activity contains a extra template with people on it. **It is suggested that template pages are enlarged to use**

Who can use this resource:

This resource has been designed to use with students in Year 3 and Year 4 as the concepts  and ideas for questions are pulled from The Australian Curriculum for those year levels.  It is suggested that other levels of learning may use it for data collection activities in Maths.

Where can this resource be used:

  • Digital Technologies
  • Mathematics
