Following directions – how to boil an egg

This procedure activity incorporates an interactive element while practicing valuable English skills. There are four simple procedure steps for students to read, comprehend and illustrate.  Teachers may choose to use this resource as part of another lesson and allow their students to use the procedure to follow and cook.

The recipe is basic and can be attempted by older students as an independent group or with the help of a leader (such as a parent volunteer or a school aide/school services officer).

If students are attempting this activity for the first time, it is suggested that a teacher example be made to show how the final product will be constructed.
