This English unit of learning is centred around the scientist and naturalist David Attenborough. Using the ‘Little People, Big Dreams’ book series as a base, students explore morphology and syntax through word and sentence structure, tier 2 vocabulary, text comprehension answering questions and by looking at the identifying main idea and supporting details, and punctuation with comma usage. It makes the perfect introduction and review lesson.

You will need a copy of this text or can find a reading on YouTube. This is a series of PowerPoint lessons with 4 supporting worksheets and a list of other ideas to support the topic. It is recommended to use with Years 3 -5.
